Who we support

We are coalition of green and independent voters living in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, organized as a Massachusetts state political action committee (PAC) reporting to the MA Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF #80975).

In 2017 we provided financial support to the following grassroots organizations and candidates for local office:

Arise for Social Justice is a member-led community organization dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of poor people. Arise has worked on issues such as housing, homelessness, criminal justice, environmental justice, and public health.

Voter Choice Massachusetts is a non-partisan, politically diverse, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating the Massachusetts public about electoral reforms that increase the range of choice on the ballot and produce fairer outcomes. Voter Choice MA advocates for the expanded use of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), which allows voters to rank the candidates on the ballot in order of preference. RCV would make Massachusetts elections more competitive and fair by encouraging the participation of more candidates and parties, and by ensuring outcomes that more accurately reflect the will of the voters.

Darlene Elias, candidate for Holyoke City Council Representative for Ward 3 and former candidate for Holyoke City Council Representative At Large. Darlene won 25% of the vote in the preliminary run-off election and an impressive 42% of the vote in the general election against a long-term incumbent.

Juan Sanchez, candidate for Holyoke City Council Representative for Ward 1. Juan finished 2nd out of 2 candidates with 30% of the vote in a strong showing for a first-time candidate against a long-term incumbent.
